Vintage 1970s Storage / Cool Box - German - Red & Black

This is an unusual, vintage piece. 

I think it was originally a cool box, but it now isn't water tight, it has a few small holes in the bottom corners (only on the internal lining, they don't go through to outside), it's had a respray to freshen it up, but i would recommend using it for other storage rather than food now.

It has a removable white plastic internal 'lid' and the main metal lid

Couldn't see any makers details, but apparently it's German
