Vintage 1950s Plastic Tall Vase - Lilac

This is a lovely 1950s vintage vase

unusual colour, but it has hard a hard life (flower arranging i would imagine)? It has a few splits at the base on one side (holds water as the base is a flared decoration and the actual vessel is above it)
