Dick Bruna & Miffy Forever
Posted by Sophie Crocket on
One of my all time favourite children's illustrators had to be the late, great, Dick Bruna. I have a giant poster of Miffy above my own bed in fact. I have also just found the most gorgeous 1970s wall frieze featuring many of his fantastic images. Still in it's packet and in amazing condition, it would be great for a kids room or playroom perhaps, or just to keep as a fan like myself. Pyrex - Not Dishwasher Safe
Posted by Sophie Crocket on
This lovely set of Pyrex nesting bowls (called Cinderella bowls) in the Friendship pattern are now hard to find, especially int his country, which makes this even more of a heartbreaking sight. Sadly they have been put through a dishwasher i would say (certainly not by me)! the orange has fared much worse than the vibrant red. Drinks Ahoy
Posted by Sophie Crocket on
I literally haven't had one of these bars in stock for years, in fact, this very one came from my old shop and i jumped at the chance to buy it back when the customer fancied a change around. Complete with faux anchor hanging from one of it's portholes, it oozes kitsch from every nautical inch. Plenty of room to store drinks and glasses at the back, a handy ring for your bar towel and even a built in bottle opener. Even an under counter light for evening entertaining. Amazing condition considering it's age (likely to be 1950s). ...
Rare Palaset Modular Storage System- Finland
Posted by Sophie Crocket on
I have never seen any of these fantastic modular furniture pieces in the flesh until i stumbled across this lovely pile. Made in Finland by Palaset and designed by Ristomatti Ratia, son of the founder of Marimekko. I was expecting it to be a thin perspex plastic, but it is actually made from polystyrene (obviously not the brittle stuff used for packaging, but rather a dense, heavy version). Very good quality, with a very slight texture to the surface. The pieces photographed can be moved around and made into a number of individual and very handy pieces. With drawers, shelves,...
