Glorious Flower Power

Glorious Flower Power

I recently bought a few large pieces of this amazing 1960s Barkcloth fabric, in the most mouth watering flower power pattern of oranges, red, yellow and contrasting vibrant green leaves and fresh white background.

The main reason for buying was the have my amazing friend make some lampshades for some rather special vintage bases, especially this orange cased glass floor lamp beauty. I'd had it for a while but was looking for the perfect shade. Turns out it didn't exist, so i commissioned Fru Fru tulip to make me one, and some smaller versions too.

Of course that lamp sold extremely quickly, so i have been making other smaller pieces with the same pattern so everyone can have a piece (including myself, as i will be making a cushion for my own sofa).

I recently covered a vintage Lloyd Loom sewing box, which came to me in a rather sad state and a small wooden hoop to make a piece of wall art.

I still have plenty of this amazing fabric left, so watch this space for the next piece to feature it...
