As mentioned in my previous blog post, Fisher Price toys have been a part of so many childhoods. With their colourful plastics (and earlier wooden bits). A large part of this is obviously the little people figures.

Little personalities, ready to get involved with all sorts of fun and mischief. Although i don't think the original bods actually had names originally, part of the fun is making up your own. And for adults, the keyrings make great gifts for anyone with a passing resemblance (as i seem to have, after a slightly brutal fringe haircut)!

Here shows a small part of my own collection (152 folks so far) and growing all the time. They look so cheery on mass, with their rainbow bodies of either plastic or wood.

The earlier figures were all wood, and the plastic gradually became a bigger part as the years went on.  

There are some well known faces brought out for special sets though. Sesame street for example, some disney folks and even Roland rat and friends (i have some of those in the collection) and many more yet to discover i'm sure.

I always stock display shelves for mini collections, as they are so great, not just for FP, but other small bits and bobs.

I also recently acquired over 300 little people in 2 designs, so have been thinking of crafty things for them too (so far i can't bring myself to stick them onto anything, so am selling them by the jar full instead)
