On the 3rd April 2020 i found out i was pregnant and our world got turned upside down (having tried previously for a long time without success) due to putting it down to various other medical conditions i had no idea (i genuinely thought it was IBS).
Due to the current Covid-19 precautions my first scan, less than a week later was on my own in a hospital full of masks and scary stuff. Where i was told i was actually nearly 7 months along, but not showing much still. Understandably i nearly passed out (literally) and broke the news to Paul, waiting in the car park via text message!
It has been a whirlwind ever since, breaking the news to others (from a distance of course) and trying to order everything we need on the internet without access to the shops due to lockdown. Thankfully being a massive kid myself, i already had plenty of vintage toys and bits.
The business has not been far from my mind, and after an extremely hard decision to halt shipping during the pandemic to allow couriers to use their time for more important things, i was blown away by the incredible support of all my amazing customers, who were happy to wait for their orders.
Giving the fast approaching change of circumstances, Paul has been helping me to wrap all the current orders and over the past few days i have been booking them in with couriers collecting from outside the house. Understandably my energy levels are taking a beating, but i am very aware things will soon be harder! i didn't want anyone to have to wait longer than initially thought for their items, so will keep working as long as i can, and am still taking orders on the website.
