Vintage 1960s Portmeirion Samarkand Jars

This is an unusual pattern from Portmeirion, called Samarkand by Susan William-Ellis and is so stylish

Sold together, sadly they both have some damage, but were just too unusual to leave

The slightly larger brown and yellow one has a fine crack at the lip, but it doesn't go through to the outside? maybe just in the glaze? and a small chip at the back, bottom edge. This measures 11cm high

The smaller is blue and green, with a badly damaged lid and hairline to the base. Measures 9.5cm high
