Historical Russell Woodard Mega Haul

Back in August 2017 i answered a local advert to buy some familiar looking chairs... Having had a few pieces of this unusual woven fibreglass furniture over the years, i knew immediately what it was... a very durable range of garden furniture, designed by Russell Woodard. When i contacted the seller, i had no idea how much i would find when i went to collect 'a few chairs'. It turns out this mega haul had come from an old garden centre that had closed down and since been stored piled high (and in some cases with undergrowth now engulfing it)!...

Rare Palaset Modular Storage System- Finland

I have never seen any of these fantastic modular furniture pieces in the flesh until i stumbled across this lovely pile.  Made in Finland by Palaset and designed by Ristomatti Ratia, son of the founder of Marimekko. I was expecting it to be a thin perspex plastic, but it is actually made from polystyrene (obviously not the brittle stuff used for packaging, but rather a dense, heavy version).
