Vintage in Lights

I have so many fab letters in stock at the moment (illuminated and not) most of them are currently shop only, but the illuminated ones should make it here (if they don't sell before hand).  They are great for initials, but also for writing words, and i always try and have something written in my window display. The mixed letters look great together, with a mix of fonts, colours and sizes (i am working on a wall full at home myself). [Editors Note: Sorry - our shop in Brockenhurst is no longer open. Stock Preview - Huge Royal Doulton Lamps

I thought I should share what I am currently working on at Pineapple Retro HQ.... These lamp bases have been in stock for many years, but were originally metallic gold, and in a bad way (they had been over polished, so the gold had warn off in patches, and they didn't look very nice) I decided to refinish them into much happier colours, and this is the result.  They were made by Royal Doulton back in the 1970s, and this is the larger size they produced. Each has been primed and spayed with several coats, and a protective lacquer added after. They have...

Amazing 1950s Holiday Camp Signs

A week ago i received possibly my favourite delivery to the shop... 7 fantastic plastic signs from a Yorkshire Holiday camp. They appear to be made from Acrylic, and would have fit over large light boxes originally. Before arrival, 3 sold, and i fell in love with another two (whoops)! But the last two, are still available - 'Be Our Guests' and 'lots of Fun'. I will be fixing them up with rope lighting behind, to show their full glory (when i finally find a new home)!  About Sophie Sophie Crocket has over 10 years experience in sourcing & selling quality...

Vintage Toffee Paper Lamps

To find one of these is rare, but i have had all these stunning Shattaline lamps in the past few years... the rarest part being the matching, coloured spun fibreglass shades. At one point, i had all of these in my own collection, but sadly i had to gradually part with them when i realised i didn't have the room! Wish i hadn't as i have watched prices steadily creeping up...The most recent addition to www.pineappleretro.co.uk, was the Red beauty on the left, which was available for only a matter of minutes, before it was snapped up. The green was donated...
